When items are accepted for consignment, the consignor grants exclusive rights to Collectors Corner to sell said items for a period of sixty (60) days with the understanding that the item(s) will be offered for sale at the mutually agreed prices and as reflected on the “Consignment Agreement”.
This also means that the consignor may not sell the consigned merchandise through any other means outside of the Consignment Agreement during the consignment period.
As per the terms for consignment, it is further understood that all items consigned shall be scheduled for an automatic markdown of 20% off the original price at the thirty (30) day (half way point) and that this automatic markdown will be listed on the item’s price tag.
Upon the sale of the item(s), theconsignors agree that in return for services rendered, a commission of fifty percent (50%) will be retained by Collectors Corner, and a check for the balance of the sale proceeds will be mailed to their address on record within ten (10) business days following the sale of the merchandise.
In the event that items are not sold by the end of the term or the consignor wishes to remove the items voluntarily, theconsignors agrees that in return for services rendered, a fee equal to ten percent (10%) of the combined item(s) “selling” price will be owed to Collectors Corner.
What if the item(s) don’t sell after 60 days. What happens then?
If the item(s) placed for consignment have not sold after sixty (60) days, the consignor shall be responsible for removing the item from Collectors Corner and/or settling the Consignment Agreement by the removal date as reflected on the “Consignment Agreement”. As well, it is understood that any and all items not removed by the removal date shall automatically become the property of Collectors Corner and be disposed of through sale or other means.
Alternatively, the consignor may opt to leave their item(s) and put them up for auction at the next available “Online Auction” that Collectors Corner holds each month. For more details on this second chance option… please contact a sales rep at the shop.
Do you accept refunds on good purchased from the store?
Unfortunately No. All items are sold “as is / where is”.
As all items sold by Collectors Corner (for the most part) are antiques, vintage, and collectible items which cannot simply be sent back to the manufacturer for defect or replacement… It is understood that all buyers will make their decision to purchase based their “in person” inspection and satisfaction of current condition.
Where do you get the items you sell?
Well, everywhere really!
From physically picking old farms, shops, and markets – to buying estates – or accepting consignments. We are always searching for new and interesting finds so that we can bring these treasures home to you.
How do I get my item(s) assessed for consignment?
You can learn all about the process by visiting the consignments page.
If you still need more information, feel free to reach out to us. We’ll be glad to help!
Are my items protected against theft or damage?
All customer merchandise is treated as if it were our own.
As Collectors Corner is fully insured for our merchandise and has 24/7 security surveillance with a state of the art camera system… your items will be in good hands while in our possession. However, all consignors leaving merchandise with us do so with the understanding and agreement that Collectors Corner shall not be responsible for any loss or damage of merchandise due to accident, fire, theft, water, or any other cause. Therefore, consignors are encouraged to insure their items as they feel necessary.
Do you hold auctions for any of the items you sell?
You bet we do!
While we don’t typically hold “In Person” (floor bidding) auctions where you can come and bid in person… we do conduct “Online” only auctions and try to have at least one auction per month. These will host a variety of items from own collection to customer consignments.
All of auctions will be posted online at least one week prior to going live. You can find out more here and sign up if you’re interested in participating.
