Authentication Process
All items submitted for evaluation are carefully reviewed by an experienced evaluator who will ensure a true and an honest opinion is rendered.
During the Authentication Services, each piece will go through a multi-step process using one or more of the following techniques depending on the item being submitted – overall evaluation, structural analysis, ink and medium analysis, and/or side-by-side comparison from an extensive collection of exemplar libraries which will help confirm or deny the legitimacy of the piece.
Once a final determination of an item’s authenticity is made, it is then documented with a unique registration ID, entered into our database, and affixed with a tamper-proof hologram label and processed according to the level of service requested by the client (see below for more details).
Items that do not pass the authentication process, are simply returned to the client with a written explanation as to why the item failed. There are two possible outcomes for failing authenticity verification – The evaluator is of the opinion that the item is likely not genuine or was unable to render an opinion due to some other reason.

Levels of Service
What level is right for you?

Certificate of Authenticity (COA)
Our Certificate of Authenticity (COA) service is the most popular for collectors who are looking to verify (and document) whether or not their item(s) are genuine.
With the COA service level, you receive a “Certificate of Authenticity Card” signed by the evaluator, which includes a unique numbered hologram tamper-proof certification label that is applied to both the COA and the item itself (or accompanying card) for identification purposes.
Each certification number is uploaded into our online searchable database within 2-3 days.
The fee for this level of service is $40 per item (1-4) or $30 per item (5 or more). Items that do not pass authentication are charged a nominal $15 per item.
Letter of Authenticity (LOA)
This level of authentication is typically used for higher end items to help bring not only validity to the item itself, a signature/autograph or combination of both… but also includes more detailed information about the piece.
The Collectors Corner “Letter of Authenticity” (LOA) is signed by the evaluator and includes – an inset image of the item, item description, date, and any other vital information that bests describes the piece. A unique numbered hologram tamper-proof certification label is then applied on the item along with the corresponding certification label appearing on the LOA.
The fee for this level of service is $60 per item (1-4) or $50 per item (5 or more). Items that do not pass authentication are charged a nominal $15 per item.
If you are interested in either of the above levels, simply contact us to discuss your item(s) and we’ll provide you with instructions on how to proceed.
